Our Story
Glas. Óg. Young and Green.
Glasóg is the Irish word for the wagtail — a small, lively bird you'll spot darting along every river and hedgerow in Ireland. But break the word apart and it tells another story: glas means green, óg means young. Young and green. That's exactly what we're about.
We make Irish-language children's clothing for a new generation — kids who are growing up with Irish as a living, breathing part of who they are. Not a school subject. Not something on a tea towel. A language that belongs to them.
Like a lot of Irish people, we learned Irish in school, let it drift, and found our way back. Coming back to the language as adults, we saw it differently — not as something we had to learn, but something we wanted to keep alive. And when we looked for clothes that reflected that — cool, modern, something our kids would actually want to wear — we couldn't find them.
So we made them.

What We Believe
Irish belongs everywhere. On the street, in the playground, on a hoodie. Not just in the classroom.
Kids deserve better than fast fashion. 280gsm heavyweight organic cotton that lasts — not thin, synthetic throwaway stuff.
Sustainability isn't a buzzword. It's a choice we make at every step, from certified organic farming to recycled polyester to plastic-free packaging. Our hoodies and sweatshirts come packed in a reusable branded cotton tote — not plastic.
Made in Ireland means something. Every design is printed in our Wexford studio using premium inks that never crack, peel, or fade — built to withstand hundreds of washes and whatever your kids throw at them.
