A closer look

Cois Farraige sweatshirt. Our own design, printed by hand in Wexford. A wave breaking in fine white line work, with the words cois farraige (KUSH FAR-ig-eh) beneath it, by the sea. Cois Fharraige is also a Gaeltacht area in Connemara, a place where Irish is still the language of every day. 100% organic cotton, brushed soft inside, in navy.

Cócó an Colgán Cairdiúil. Cócó is a friendly swordfish who loves nothing more than playing with her schoolfriends. When she moves to the far side of the Rock, the fish at her new school don’t take to her long, sharp nose, and they won’t play with her. A gentle story about kindness and fitting in, by Ailbhe Nic Giolla Bhrighde with pictures by Brian Fitzgerald, from Futa Fata. Ages 4 to 7. Cairdiúil (kar-JOO-il) means friendly, and a colgán is a swordfish.

Míol Mór the whale. A gentle giant of the ocean with a soft, shaggy purple coat and a smooth cream belly, about 20 cm, by Gosh. Míol mór (MEEL MORE) is the Irish word for whale. Tested to the EN71 European toy safety standard.

Mo Thaiscí bag. Our natural cotton drawstring bag, printed with a treasure map and the words mo thaiscí (muh HASH-kee), my treasures. It is the wrapping and a keeper: made for the shells, stones and feathers of the next beach walk.

Oiriúnach do · Suits: sweatshirt sizes Age 3-4 to Age 12-13. The book is for ages 4 to 7.
