Téad Scipeála Skipping Rope
Bag designed and pressed by hand in our Wexford studio
Certifications
Description
Two turned wooden handles and a long cotton rope, in a drawstring bag with its name on the front. Skipping asks for nothing else. No batteries, no screen, no instructions, and no second player unless one turns up. The rope is 280 cm, which suits a taller child straight out of the bag and knots shorter for anyone smaller.
As Gaeilge
Téad scipeála (TAYD SKIP-ay-la) means "skipping rope" in Irish. Téad is a rope or a cord, and scipeáil is the skipping itself.
