"Madraí" is the plural of "madra", the Irish word for dog. Dogs have always been central to Irish life, from the legendary hounds of Fionn mac Cumhaill to the loyal collies working farms across the country today. The Irish wolfhound is one of the oldest and tallest dog breeds in the world, bred as a companion and protector for centuries.
