Comhghairdeas! (koh-GAR-jus) means "Congratulations!" in Irish.

"Comhghairdeas" is the Irish for "congratulations". It is the word you reach for when someone passes an exam, lands a new job, welcomes good news or crosses a finish line. You will hear "Comhghairdeas leat!" (congratulations to you!) called out at graduations and celebrations all over Ireland.
